If you were to wake up one morning in Eden, what would you expect to find? What do you think might surprise you? What would be your favorite thing?B.K. and I are meeting in Germany next month (September 2009) to continue work on SERPENT OF EDEN, and we'd love to hear your thoughts on your version of a more perfect human society!

The arc of the Bible takes us from the Garden of Eden to the City of God, so the new Eden would be an urban Utopia -- all the best of a modern city within the context of idealized Nature. In a word: fantastic landscaping!
I would wake up to see the absolute and total beauty of God's creation. Yet, there would be "something" that blocked my total interaction and ability to claim for my own total enjoyment all that I saw. So while I could see the wonder of God's fantastic landscape - I would being frustrated in not being able to claim it's joy for myself.
The grassy plain between two rivers is filled with a multitude of gardeners. I hear the sound of singing, songs of love and peace sung at full voice by everyone. I am struck that it seem so right, so sincere, coming from the heart. Here is what Woodstock had longed to be, but in Woodstock there was only a yearning; but it was cloyed with a fallenness that lacked the understanding and commitment of what true love and peace are.. In Woodstock there was hardship, hunger, disorganization, nudity, mud with no way of getting clean. In Eden there is a beauty, a common bond of every gardener in peace and joy, with all that is needed.
Eden would be very lush - green vegetation and lots of it. It would have blue fresh pure water in streams and lakes. It would be urban too and have streets and cars and everything we have come to know and yet we would not covet the things, they would just be there for us to use. Since I don't have air conditioning there would either be air con or the temperature would be so pleasant that there would be no need for the a/c. Plenty of people would be present and welcoming and willing to share what they know. friendly they would be friendly.
I think I want to go there.
